Where we can help — and what that looks like
Each service addresses a specific operational gap. They are fixed in scope, delivered within a defined timeframe, and handed over to your team before the engagement closes.

Narrow scope, deliberate sequencing
Each of the three services Hagane offers is built around a specific operational problem — not a broad digital transformation mandate. The narrow scope is intentional: it makes the deliverables clear, the timeline achievable, and the handover straightforward.
The services can be run independently or in sequence, depending on where operational friction is highest. Some organisations start with the operations dashboard to establish data visibility, then move to predictive maintenance once they can see equipment output clearly. Others start with translation, where the need is most immediate.
There is no prescribed order. The intake conversation usually makes the right starting point clear.
Service 01
Predictive Maintenance Setup
Investment
¥45,000
Fixed price — twelve weeks including observation period
What it addresses
Production equipment that has sensors already generating operational data but where that data is not connected to any alert or review process. Developing faults are caught by scheduled inspection — which means they are caught at intervals, not when the signal first appears.
What the engagement covers
- Data collection review and threshold definition with the maintenance team
- Alert routing to the right staff roles
- Review process for both correct and incorrect alerts
- Twelve weeks including observation under real conditions
- Existing maintenance schedules retained in parallel during the trial
- Handover of threshold adjustment capability to internal staff
- False alert rates reported alongside detection rates from day one
Suited to
Small manufacturers with production equipment already generating operational sensor data. No new sensors or hardware are required at the intake stage.
What it addresses
Businesses with regular overseas correspondence or documentation needs where translation is currently handled ad hoc — by external agencies, by bilingual staff pulled from other work, or by general-purpose machine translation without quality controls. The friction shows up as delayed responses, inconsistent terminology across documents, and uncertainty about whether customer-facing or contractual materials meet the required standard.
What the engagement covers
- Terminology base construction from the company's existing documents
- Integration into the current document routine — not a separate platform
- Defined human review stage for customer-facing and contractual documents
- Quality sampling across document categories
- Seven weeks including calibration and quality review
- Clear category list of documents that must not bypass human review
- Reviewer training so your team can update the terminology base independently
Suited to
Firms with regular overseas correspondence moving between Japanese and other languages, with no dedicated in-house translation function.
Service 02
Translation Workflow Integration
Investment
¥33,000
Fixed price — seven weeks
Service 03
Operations Dashboard Build
Investment
¥37,000
Fixed price — eight weeks
What it addresses
Operations managers who begin each day assembling figures from production, inventory, and order systems manually — spreadsheets, system exports, phone calls to department heads. By the time the picture is assembled it is several hours old and the situation it describes has already moved on.
What the engagement covers
- Metric definition agreed across departments before build begins
- Source system connections for production, inventory, and order data
- Refresh scheduling and access permissions configured
- Eight weeks including source connection and calibration
- Written metric definitions included as a deliverable
- Data freshness indicator on every panel — visible without interaction
- Training for staff who will maintain the dashboard and adjust metrics
Suited to
Operations managers currently working from figures assembled by hand each morning, where the data exists in connected systems but is not combined into a single live view.

Choosing a Starting Point
Where to begin depends on where the friction is
If equipment is your concern
You are losing time to unplanned downtime, or you are scheduling maintenance more frequently than faults actually appear. Your equipment has sensors but no one is acting on the data they produce.
Predictive Maintenance →If language is your concern
Overseas correspondence takes longer than it should, terminology varies across documents from the same company, and you are not confident that everything customer-facing has been properly reviewed.
Translation Workflow →If visibility is your concern
Operational figures arrive hours after the period they describe. Decisions are being made on yesterday's numbers, or on estimates assembled by hand from separate systems each morning.
Operations Dashboard →Common to All Services
What every engagement includes, regardless of service
Written scope before start
Deliverables, timeline, data sources, and assumptions documented and agreed before technical work begins.
Staff training at handover
Internal staff trained on the specific maintenance tasks they will need to perform. Engagement does not close until training is confirmed.
Visible assumptions
Every projected figure comes with the assumptions that produced it printed where the figure appears — not in an appendix or separate document.
Parallel operation
Existing processes continue unchanged during build. Nothing is retired until the new system has been observed working under real conditions.
Next Step
Not sure where to start?
Describe your situation and we will tell you whether there is a reasonable match, and if so, which service makes the most sense as a starting point. The intake conversation carries no obligation.
